Predicting Lightning with AI and Satellite Data

The newer (this decade) NOAA GOES satellites include "lightning mapper."  Univ of Wisconsin released a tool to predict Lightning strikes:  "The LightningCast model utilizes machine learning and satellite imagery to predict lightning up to 60 minutes in advance."
