KG4RDW Posted January 1 Content Author Share Posted January 1 Thanks for the welcome! I have been a licensed ham a lot of years but probably don't have an hour of on-air time. I am hoping to change that and plan to pursue POTA with a wire antenna, FT-817 and luck. QRP is my main interest and I am planning to try and learn CW. I am an old guy that stands a wee bit taller than my hair. My hearing aids tend to give me fits with CW but gonna stab at it again. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!! 1 Link to comment

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!! Hey Dave. Welcome aboard and good for the QRP... There's something magical about reaching out across a land or an ocean using 5W!! I had a phone contact with Poland from Mt. Pisgah in North Carolina with 3 Watts!! Link to comment
