Moderator WA2WMR Posted August 17, 2022 Moderator Share Posted August 17, 2022 One of the 1D stations that I contacted during Field Day operations belonged to a blind ham. I'm hesitant to send a QSL to him because I am not a rare contact and he can't see it. Not that it's anything spectacular but it seems like it would be frustrating to receive a visual object (it has no value as a rare country QSL) and not be able to see it. Thoughts? Administrator K3MRI Posted August 18, 2022 Administrator Share Posted August 18, 2022 Wow, that’s a tough call. I hope we have someone in the Community who has a sight-impaired operator or family member to weigh in. In my opinion, I would. That same operator may have sight-impaired electronic assisted-viewing devices. They will also have an able-sighted family member or friend. Yes, as I think about it more, absolutely send it to him.
