Jim, il y a beacoups des annees depuis j'etude le francais. Ma grammaire et vocabulaire est horrible. Mais, cette juin nous allez a quebec. Je changerai au anglais maintenant. I plan on taking my radio equipment (Yaesu FY-897 and yo-yo antenna) and operating from Quebec City when we're not touring. Any hints or recommendations on operating in Canada? Merci beaucoups!
  2. Due to file size limits, I couldn't post any video, so here's a link to a video of Leon's spud gun in operation. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1I7Pv4Oun3hJgvgysWUkO1rDKINU5Jcnr/view?usp=sharing
  3. The VWS antenna team tackled its first project of 2020 which involved raising a new 80m fan dipole, refurbishing the existing antenna, installing a grounding system, a window cable pass-thru and wiring in the shack. Work was done for Tim, W4CLK. The antenna team for this project was led by Mike (WA8AHZ) and included: John (K1NME), Leon (NT8B), Mike (KN4VKN), Dave ( KN4MHP) and Joe (KN4JVV) and Don (KM4UDX). A highly successful installation!
  4. As a new Ham joining the hobby during a low in the sunspot cycle, there's no way I would have been able to achieve WAS and DXCC without use of low signal modes like FT-4/8!
