For our Cross Potomac BBQ coming up 21 August 2022, we are looking for a speaker who can give a motivating talk about what amateur radio has brought them. Years ago, a war amputee operator had come to give a talk on how amateur radio had allowed him to stay in touch with some of his old Army buddies and then make dozens of new ones. He spoke of how a military veteran's net had helped him through his darkest times. And last but not least, he would meet his future wife, an Army veteran, on the air on one of those nets.
If you feel you have a story that can inspire us all to realize how lucky we are to practice this hobby, we would like to hear from you.
