About This File

The two files provided are suitable to import via RT Systems or CHIRP and used to upload the frequency plan to your radio.  Be careful not to overwrite any existing programming in your radio!

I was unable to check on today on Kilo (147.270). CHIRP file data and radio configuration appears correct, but no joy. I should be at the All Hands and will bring my kit and see if I can get a little help troubleshooting.

Be sure to double check your settings as compared to the Frequency plan posted in the Operating guide. I too came across some discrepancies on radio check day with CTCSS tones being improperly imported into my radio programming software. I will be at the all hands and will have both the Frequency plan and chirp files as I updated to try if you wish. Best suggestion remains to verify all imported programming as compared to the printed Frequency plan in the Operating guide as to this day nothing beats the accuracy of a double and triple checked excel file. lol

wait. Which is the correct frequency plan?? The files put out there for download or the table in the Operating Guide?? How can you double check if you don't know which is the correct version?

Great question.  The file that was put out was our best attempt to make a file that can be read by most programming software and I was pointing out a flaw that I noticed while using it. My comment was to encourage anyone using the file to double check what it produces for you in your programming software against what is published in the operating guide.  The file in the operating guide is 100% accurate and should be followed to the letter(number).
