I’m pleased to let you know that we have a real bang-up program for our Saturday, Feb 19th program @ 11:30, via Zoom*
The FFx County ARES folks are going to join us and give a state of play with the revitalized Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) program. Our speaker is Scott Brewer, and he is one of the Assistant Emergency Coordinators for the Fairfax County ARES. He'll present a brief overview of ARES, covering organizational affiliations, membership and certification requirements, capabilities, equipment, training and operations.
We’ll not have a Saturday meeting in March, as the 3rd week in March is the VA QSO Party and some of us are heavy committed to the event. Also, mark your calendar for March 27th as that is the ARRL VA Section Convection for 2022, and will be held in conjunction with WINTERFEST at the Annandale Campus of the Northern Virginia Community College.
Finally, for the QCWA Ch 91 folks: if you don’t mind paying your $15 dues for 2022 by sending in a check to Doug, AK4AO. His address is good on QRZ.
